When it's relevant

Weight that has crept up, is affecting your health or how you feel, or has not responded to what you have tried.

Why it's worth a visit

Weight is shaped by biology, medicines, sleep, mood and circumstance, far more than by willpower. Several conditions can also contribute.

How your GP can help

Your GP looks for contributing factors, checks related health measures and works with you on a realistic plan. That may include a dietitian, an exercise physiologist or medically supported options where appropriate.

Your questions answered

A few of the things people often wonder about before booking. If there's something else on your mind, just ask, we're always happy to talk it through.

Will I be judged?

No. This is a medical conversation like any other.

Are there Medicare-funded options?

Some people are eligible for a care plan that includes rebated visits to a dietitian or exercise physiologist. Your GP will advise.

How long should I book?
