When it's relevant

A new partner, a partner who has tested positive, symptoms such as discharge, pain or sores, or you would simply like a check.

Why it's worth a visit

Many infections cause no symptoms and can still cause harm or be passed on. Testing is simple and treatment is usually straightforward.

How your GP can help

Your GP asks only what is needed, arranges the right tests, treats what is found and can advise on prevention. Everything is confidential.

Your questions answered

A few of the things people often wonder about before booking. If there's something else on your mind, just ask, we're always happy to talk it through.

What does testing involve?

Usually a urine sample or a swab you can take yourself, and sometimes a blood test.

Will my results be kept private?

Yes. Your record is confidential. Some infections are notified to NSW Health as the law requires, and your details are protected.

How soon after a risk should I test?

It depends on the infection. Your GP will advise, and may suggest a repeat test later.

Ready when you are.

Book online at any time, or call the front desk during opening hours.
