When it's relevant

Preoccupation with food, weight or shape, restricting, bingeing or purging, exercising compulsively, or a noticeable change in weight or eating habits.

Why it's worth a visit

Eating disorders are serious and can affect anyone, at any body size. They also respond to treatment, and earlier is better.

How your GP can help

Your GP checks physical health, including heart rate, blood pressure and blood tests, and can prepare an eating disorder plan and coordinate a dietitian and mental health clinician.

Who can help

All of our GPs can help with this.
